Madar Holding proudly announced the official launch of its subsidiary Tafadis sugar refinery in the El Arbatache Industrial Zone – Boumerdès, on Thursday, May 15, 2025, attended by ministers and local officials.
The complex spans 14 hectares with a daily production capacity of 2,000 tons, including white sugar, industrial liquid sugar, and brown sugar, providing 650 direct jobs and complete logistical infrastructure, including a transport fleet and port facilities in Algiers.
Tafadis uses modern and exclusive refining technologies in Algeria, producing high-quality sugar suitable for precision industries, particularly pharmaceuticals, offering a competitive advantage in national and international markets.
The factory also implements an eco-friendly production model based on a circular economy, including gas recycling, lime recovery for agriculture, water treatment, and chemical waste reuse in other industries.
Through this project, Madar Holding reaffirms its commitment to supporting local industry, creating sustainable jobs, and contributing to the diversification and modernization of Algeria’s economy, with a strategic focus on export markets.
